Why don't breast implants lift the breasts?

Breast implants are the preferred option for enhancing the size and shape of the breasts, but it's crucial to understand that on their own, they do not have the ability to lift the breasts.

The lack of ability to lift the breasts is because breast implants are inserted behind the breast tissue or beneath the pectoral muscle, without addressing sagging skin and breast tissue.

If there is breast sagging, a mastopexy or breast lift is required. In this surgery, excess skin is removed, breast tissue is readjusted, and nipples are repositioned to achieve a higher and firmer position.
