Augmentation Gluteoplasty
It is a procedure by which a silicone implant is placed inside the muscle, the objective is to give volume and shape to the gluteus. The material must be much more resistant than that used in a breast prosthesis, because this area must perform several activities such as walking or running.
The techniques of this procedure can vary depending on the surgeon, as well as the needs of the patient, usually performed by an incision of 5 cm in the intergluteal area.
The implant placement can be submuscular, intramuscular or subfascial, each of which offers different types of augmentation.
