Rhytidectomy
Rhytidectomy is an aesthetic plastic surgery procedure that involves the surgical removal of skin wrinkles or rhytidosis. The skin of your face is stretched and excess skin is removed so that your face looks less wrinkled and looks younger, because as you know the skin aging over time, loses elasticity, flexibility and muscle mass.
During a facelift surgery, patients are anesthetized, either under general anesthesia or with local anesthesia, although usually in this type of surgeries local anesthesia is used more frequently to give the patient the possibility to be more alert.
Although face lift surgery is considered relatively safe, there are certain complications and risks inherent to any surgical procedure.
The scars are located in different places depending on the type of lifting. However, they are always concealed in strategic areas such as the fold behind the ear or under the hair, so they are hardly visible.
