The reduction mammoplasty is a surgical intervention to reduce the size of the patient's breast, which, in most cases, presents an excessively large volume in relation to the rest of the body.
In this surgical intervention in addition to reducing the size of the breasts, it is necessary to replace the mammary gland in its correct position obtaining the symmetry between both breasts. It also reduces the size of the areola so that it is provided with the new breast volume.
You should be very clear about the volume you want in your breasts and the presence of your scars. It must be clear that the reduction in size is limited by the risk of altering the nipple irrigation.
The result can be perceived in the first 30 days, however, the breasts reach their final appearance in 6 to 12 months, in terms of scars, shape and volume, consistency and sensitivity.
